About B2 Architecture + Design
You can learn a lot about a person by where they choose to live. We know people want spaces that reflect their locale and lifestyle yet offer something they haven’t seen elsewhere. At B2 Architecture + Design, we design with choice in mind – because your space should tell your story, not your designer’s.
For over a decade, we’ve collaborated with clients to help shape the stories they want to tell through built space. With our commitment to great design and world-class service, we’ve created more than 50 unique spaces in Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington and California—and had tons of fun along the way.
From the very first meeting to the final installation, we love what we do – and we’re told it shows in our work. After all, creating enjoyable living spaces takes a team of pros who truly enjoy the process. At B2 Architecture + Design, we don’t believe in cookie cutter developments or one-size-fits-all approaches. Partner with us for architectural interior design, space-planning, furniture selection and/or procurement and the result will be an uncommon new space that offers a one-of-a-kind living experience.
B. Allison Brooks, AIA
Founder, Owner, Architect, Designer
A true exemplar of Texas’ enterprising spirit, Allison is an entrepreneur, a businesswoman, a visionary architect and designer in her own right. Allison’s discerning style and magnetic disposition are key to B2’s success. Her passion for keeping her team challenged and fulfilled in equal measure leads to frequent adventures (think neighborhood bike ride or all-team spin class) and spontaneous outings (think fabulous hotels, eateries or other local favorites). As the company’s captain and fearless leader, her treasured team would follow her into fire and back — or at least down a long stretch of the Trinity Trail in heels in high summer as long as her beloved dog Birdie is in tow.
Allison graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Architecture. She honed her skills in the Chicago area at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and A. Epstein & Sons and Good, Fulton & Farrell Architects in Dallas where she met many developers who still bear the dual distinction of friend and client.
In 2007, Allison founded B2 Architecture + Design. A life-long learner and teacher, Allison serves as mentor for The Real Estate Council, although she’ll tell you she learns just as much as she teaches from this experience. Allison is also involved in starting The Hockaday Real Estate group which serves to assist fellow alumni and current students interested in the real estate profession.
When not in the office, Allison enjoys the great outdoors … well, from a patio somewhere in Oak Cliff, Palm Springs or Chapel Hill with a martini in hand.
Chloe Guernsey, NCARB
Multifamily Studio Director
Chloe, aka Employee Number 1, has been with B2 since its auspicious beginnings (at a dining room table in a duplex). According to Allison, Chloe remains central to the firm’s ongoing success. When it comes to her design sensibility, Chloe’s range and versatility make her a true chameleon. Her flexible aesthetic and devotion to detail has allowed her to bring her clients’ distinct vision to life.
After graduating from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Architecture, Chloe first made a name for herself as a designer and architect in diverse markets including Philadelphia and Dayton before moving to Dallas. From day one, Chloe’s contributions have been instrumental to B2’s successful growth.
A recovering college hockey player, Chloe spends quality time outside the office either with her family or explaining “the power play” to yet another native Texan trying to follow a Stars game.
Senior Project Coordinator
Diana’s approach to design makes her a perfect fit for B2. Rather than simply designing spaces for people, Diana endeavors to craft experiences for them. With broad design concepts and detailed drawings, Diana uses design as a language to tell a different story with every project.
After graduating from Kansas State University with a Master of Interior Architecture and Product Design, she developed her skills at multiple design firms in the Dallas area before joining B2.
Part storyteller, part interior design connoisseur, Diana is able to solve just about any design challenge – as long as there’s coffee. When she’s not in the office, she’s likely stoking creative sparks with a combination of crafting, cooking, crosswording and yes, more coffee.
Senior Project Coordinator
Christine is our Senior Project Coordinator and has long admired the established culture and quality of work that has become part of the rich fabric of B2. A graduate of Baylor, Interior Design, and a world traveler, Christine recently spent time in Israel, a standout trip of her lifetime - blending her love of nature, faith and history. She loves to both appreciate and create art, from taking an oil painting class to building her own bed frame and side tables. You can find her on a Saturday morning stepping out of a yoga class and on her way to grab a smoothie and relax with her dog, Sawyer. We hear she is not to be messed with when it comes to Grease (the movie) trivia, lyrics and moves - and we know she takes the same expert approach to bringing out the best of every project she encounters.
Senior Project Coordinator
A Colorado native and now a proud Texan at heart, Whitney is a constant traveler and self-starter. At the tender age of 17, she started her own cleaning service and managed everything from new business to bookkeeping. Her relationship to detailing interiors evolved when she renovated one of her father’s rental properties. While the transformation brought great satisfaction, she quickly realized she’d rather be the one spearheading design as opposed to the one repairing drywall and restoring wood floors.
Whitney’s skillset and experience lies primarily in multifamily and high-end residential, though she’s happy designing everything and anything. Her sensibility and passion for design is informed by her love of travel, adventure and discovery.
Whitney comes to B2 after living in London where she worked as a designer. In her free time she’s likely digging for treasure at local vintage shops or exploring new territory with her dog, Ace. She enoys a good IPA and is currently on the hunt for her favorite Dallas spot.
In a city of transplants, Erin bears the distinction of being born and bred in the Big D. Like all true Dallasites, she has survived countless 100+ degree days and has never driven to work on a single snow day.
Erin is a proud alumna Southern Methodist University where she received a Bachelor’s degree in business and a Master’s of Science in accounting. She put both degrees to good use at KPMG where she gained experience in international tax before she joined the investment accounting division at Goldman Sachs. Her work there included day to day accounting for various real estate assets including hospitality, commercial and multifamily properties.
While Erin excels at the practicalities and straightforward nature of accounting, she relishes the creative energy B2 infuses into her work. When she’s not slaying numbers at the office, Erin is likely running, practicing yoga and baking…though not necessarily in that order.
Every office benefits from the presence of someone with limitless patience, calm and collected composure. Brittany is the tranquil yin to the occasional tumultuous yang. She brings order to pandemonium, and in some mystical feat channels chaotic energy into inspired, functional work.
Brittany’s background is in retail sales and management, which she studied at Tennessee State University in Nashville and put to practice in Atlanta. In past lives, Brittany acted in management roles at BCBG, Max Mara and Blushington.
Outside of work, you can find Brittany exploring the contours of her own creativity through introspective hobbies such as reading and creative writing. Brittany’s most defining quality is her ability to forge meaningful connections with others through honest conversation and humor.
Julie was drawn to the vibrancy of B2 and puts her organizing expertise to work as the Office Manager. She is a native Texan who started honing her office management skills as a teenager, working in her father’s cell phone stores in the eighties. We’ll give you a minute to pause and consider the size of those phones. Alrighty, moving on, Julie stays busy outside the office as an active mom to her toddler son and her rescue dog, named Chewie. She does not enjoy being still for very long, so you will find her buzzing about the office making it a better, more efficient place for our staff and clients.
Brie grew up in small town Missouri with her sights set on big city life. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Pittsburg State University in Kansas. Go Gorillas!! But actually— their mascot really is a gorilla.
Following graduation, Brie was called to the bright lights of Kansas City where she worked in residential design. Her unmatched style involves mixing textures, distinctive patterns and bold colors to create fresh yet functional new looks.
Fittingly given her name, Brie pairs nicely with chardonnay. Other interests include time spent at the lake, antiquing as a sport, and exploring anywhere new.
A TCU horned frog originally from California, Shane brings a full range of experience in marketing and communication to B2, along with her love of design. She spent part of her college career studying in Florence, Italy, and loved everything about it…the food, the wine, the people, the beautiful city, the wine - wait, did we mention that already? When Shane can’t make time for Italy, she is quite happy with all that Napa has to offer and enjoys visiting the San Francisco Bay area where she spent her childhood. When she is not busy tracking down the carefully selected furniture, artwork and accessories as B2’s Purchaser, she practices her budding photography hobby with her favorite subject: Eloise, her beloved black and white cat. Shane has a heart for children and volunteerism and no doubt warms the atmosphere of B2.
Born and raised in Honduras, Regina and her passion for interior design fall in line with the DNA of her family with two architects, an interior designer, and an architectural engineer among her siblings. Aww, and she’s the baby. Regina has an expansive creativity and loves to mix colors, patterns and textures to add unique detail to every space. Growing up, Regina often drew designs of what her future house would look like and has always had an interest in architecture from a young age. A former tap, jazz and ballet dancer, she is currently a runner, yogi and lover of outdoors - bringing great energy to her Project Coordinator role. Regina is inspired by travel and is always up for a good ‘ole road trip. She definitely has her own way of rolling down the windows and turning up the music to provide a fresh perspective at B2.
Lover of live country music and all things pink, Sophie, a TCU Interior Design grad, can’t remember a time when she wasn’t interested in design. She grew up in Wichita Falls with a large family of all girls; which may explain why she feels right at home at B2. Sophie enjoys the inviting energy here and is pleased to report a team approach that’s in full swing. She admires the architecture and easy living in Florence, Italy, where she studied abroad - a place that still has her heart and may have influenced her deep appreciation of pizza. As Project Coordinator, Sophie will utilize her experience at TCU’s Physical Plant and background in material management - focusing on design development, selecting finishes and assisting senior coordinators. While athletic is not a term she chooses to describe herself, if arranging bookshelves were a sport, Sophie would totally make varsity.
An industry veteran, Birdie brings her seasoned perspective and inimitable nose for detail to every project she tackles.
